UPSC Civil Services test( IAS test) is conducted in two stages 

 UPSC Phase I Civil Services Preliminary Examination or UPSC Prelims is an objective type test for the selection of campaigners for the Main Examination. 

 

 UPSC Phase II Civil Services Main Examination or UPSC Main Examination correspond of a Written test and Interview for the selection of campaigners for colorful services & posts as mentioned in the sanctioned announcement
